“Touch is a human right.” – CaLisa Lee, CMT

Since I was a child I have wanted to be of service and Massage Therapy allows my entire life to be an intentional act of giving. Everyday I am able to help others heal, rest, and feel good in their bodies.

I started my massage journey working with hospice patients and hospitalized infants and children. I’ve provided massage for patients of VITAS Hospice and Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA.

My training makes me a versatile therapist and my focus now is on providing positive touch and effective massage therapy to all who are in need.

My clients are those who believe in the power of relaxation and want to escape, if just for a moment, from the fear and anxiety of chronic pain, stress, and illness. Such clients know that the moments of peace created during a massage therapy session add up and have the ability of reframing their whole lives. Relaxation is power. Relaxation is possible. Relaxation is the physical, mental, and spiritual experience of peace.

I live in the Foothills of northern Los Angeles with my magical twin sons, wildman of a husband, two scruffy dogs, and a dusty old tortoise. When I am not seeing clients in the treatment room I love working in my small herb garden, cooking traditional dishes, moongazing, and spending time in nature with my family.

Practice Philosophy

  • Touch is a human right.
  • I am not a healer. But I can help stimulate and encourage your body’s natural, pre-existing, innate healing capabilities and “feel good” mechanisms.
  • Dignity, respect, and autonomy. Massage Therapy is an opportunity for clients to regain control over their bodies.
  • Touch is a natural analgesic (pain reliever) and when applied with intention can improve physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Mind/Body Integration: Many of us are disconnected from our bodies and live the majority of our lives in our heads – tangled in our thoughts, overwhelmed by our emotions. I believe that Massage and Touch Therapy are ways to integrate the mind/body and foster wholeness and wellbeing.
  • Massage should ALWAYS feel good!
